The Urban Servant Corps office in Denver serves as a year-round drop-off point for quilts and kits. They have a large room to collect the items and once the room is full, the items are trucked to the S. St. Paul warehouse.
Please call ahead to check on drop-off days and hours. Plan to bring someone along who can help transfer your items from your vehicle to the storage area.
The Church of the Brethren General Offices serve as a year-round drop-off point for quilts and kits. They have a space to collect the items and once the space is full, the items are trucked to the Maryland warehouse.
Please call ahead to check on drop-off hours. Staff members are working from home, so please expect to leave a message and your call will be returned.
LWR shares warehouse space with several partners at the Brethren Service Center in New Windsor, Maryland. The warehouse accepts donations of quilts and kits all year round, and also offers volunteer opportunities for those interested in helping with the processing of Quilts and Kits for overseas transportation.

The warehouse accepts items year-round. If you're planning to personally deliver your donations, call the warehouse ahead of time for driving directions and to verify hours of operation.
LWR is so grateful to Church World Service for sharing their drop off site with our donors! Please be sure to clearly write "Lutheran World Relief" on the boxes in addition to the contents and your congregation's contact information. Please plan to bring someone who can unload your boxes.

Packaging Instructions from Lutheran World Relief:
- Please DO NOT use plastic or paper bags to pack donations.
- Donations should be sorted by category and packed in separate boxes.
- Use strong cartons secured with packing tape.
- Do not allow box weight to exceed forty (40) pounds.

*Due to Covid 19 please practice social distancing, wear a mask and be prepared to load your items into the truck as the sites will not be staffed.

Make sure all boxes are securely sealed and labeled as instructed on the 2021 Church Reporting Form. Boxes MUST not weigh more than 40 lbs. The 2021 Church Reporting Form needs to be filled out and given to the person checking you in at the Ingathering. Please see attachment for the 2021 Church Reporting Form. This form can be accessed and printed by clicking on the orange "Download Details" button.

Organizers are asking for a $25 donation to help with trucking charges, which can be mailed to Sandy Langner at 2850 310th Ave, Dickens, IA 51333. Please call ahead of time if you haven't brought donations to this Ingathering before.

YRC Freight trucks will pick up the items congregations have donated and collected for CARE-VAN. They will take the items to the Lutheran World Relief warehouse in New Windsor, Maryland. The warehouse prepares the items for their final destination. Destinations may be refugee camps, hospitals, orphanages, villages, and sites of natural disasters.
